The following are rules that have been set in place to further better the RPG community and help all things run smoothly. If you, the member, have a rule that should be addressed to be made- contact a member of the staff and we will see what we can do. This is subject to change.
Posting
x No flaming This goes for in character and out of character, we realize that people will have disputes, but this should be handled more properly then flaming. If you have an issue with another member, contact a staff member. If you and a staff member have a dispute please contact the admin of the board (Kelsi Nielsen). If you do not know what flaming is it is: calling people vulgar words/ telling other members that they are these vulgar words
x No GodModding You should only address what your character is doing. This means if Troy is no where in the vicinity, such as the player isn't on or there is no one playing the person at that time, do not make him suddenly appear. Or if you are rping with someone else do not just say that they slap you or are walking with you if they have not said so themselves. If you wish to bring other characters who don't have a player in the game, contact a staff member and either they will play the character or give you permission to do so. This does not mean you can now play this character whenever!
x No One-Liners in RP We are a multi-para RPG site, this means one or two sentences aren't going to cut it (this is obvious with our application, ne?) At least have a paragraph of 8-10 sentences as a bare minimum.
x Be Active We may be a new site, but one day we do hope to change this! We request that you come on the site and post at least once a week [per character you have].
Correct Spelling and Grammar Be literate, chat talk in rp is not acceptable. Remember Spell Check is your friend!
x Keep it PG15 (Yes we are so cool we have our own rating!) Basically, this site is open to 'most ages' we can't say 13, because proboards doesn't allow anyone under that age. This means you can be a regular teenager; drinking and the such, but no 'birds-in-the-bees' in the middle of a thread! That is unacceptable and you will be warned if you do such.
Address who you are speaking to when you click 'new reply' or 'edit post' there will be a subject spot (right above the message icon), in here write who your character is addressing. It can be 'ATN: Troy' or 'ATN: Everyone!' 'ATN: Wildcats!' whomever you wish to speak to or are roleplaying with at the time.
Homes each student has their own home in the home board, well sort of! When you want to show your character at home, or with other people there, when you make a new thread title it as "'Characters Last name' Household : the date during that time jump" this is to keep it organized ^^. When a new time jump begins, post a new one if you wish! You don't always have to post your character waking up! Use your home for whatever you wish, within reason of course!
Creating Characters
x Follow the template simple enough- right? Just do as it asks!
x Only two characters per person until both characters have 25 in game posts Simply, we want to know you're an active rper and can handle an additional one if you apply for it. In game posts mean of course you bing in character, not OOC threads and such.
x Remember to post it in a new thread! This is so users can easily find your profile, and it's not so messy for the moderators to go through. The new thread button can be found when you hit "Welcome to Albuquerque", or any forum really, and it should be in the top right reading 'new thread' or 'new topic'
x Do not assume your character is in a relationship with another I realize cannonly Gabriella and Troy are going out, and Chad and Taylor, but because this is an rp we can't exactly allow that. Why? For the fact that the person rping Troy may not want to have their character in relationship, if you are applying as Gabriella, or there may not even be a Troy at the time. It's best to leave relationships out of it, even with established characters, unless discussed with the rper in question. Please note this in the application that you had discussed it with the person. (Another reason for this is that if the Troy and Gabriella rping as a "couple" may loathe each other, or simply don't get along, and therefore have issues rping as such.))
Time Jumps
On School Days, we have a system of "time jumps", meaning every few weeks we will change the date and/or time of the RPG. This is so we can keep the plot moving smoothly, because we can't have one day drag on forever! There's simply not enough hours, and not enough time in those hours to go a full blown plot, right?
Now, you might be think 'What is a time jump?'. It's simply a change of time in RP, for instance if it is June 4, 2007, it will be June 4th for ten days. [there may be some occasions where it will be extended, depending on the event] After the time jump, however you will not be able to go back and post in the thread.
